A Look Inside Our Recent Pet Teeth Cleaning Workshops

There’s something really special about learning together — and that’s exactly what we experienced at our recent in-person pet teeth cleaning workshops.

Over two fun and interactive sessions at our clinic, we had the pleasure of welcoming pet parents (and their adorable companions!) for hands-on sessions focused on one important goal: helping you feel confident caring for your pet’s teeth at home.

From the moment everyone arrived, there was a great energy in the room. Pets sniffed around, tails wagged, and curious noses explored as we got ready to dive into the world of home pet dental care — together.

🦷 Learning by Doing (With Your Pet Right There!)

People seated on a living room floor, chatting near a window and scattered toys, with a sleeping dog on the couch.

One of the things we love most about these workshops is that they’re not just about listening — they’re about doing.

Each participant brought their pet along, which meant we could guide you in real time, helping you practice techniques in a supportive, relaxed environment. Because let’s be honest — reading about how to brush your pet’s teeth is one thing… actually doing it is a whole other level of learning!

By working together in person, we were able to show you exactly how to approach your pet in a way that feels calm, natural, and positive for both of you.

🐶 How to Keep Your Pet Calm and Comfortable

A big focus of the workshop was learning how to gently and confidently hold your pet during brushing.

We demonstrated different positioning techniques based on your pet’s size, personality, and comfort level — because there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is always the same: helping your pet feel safe and secure.

Many pet parents were surprised at how small adjustments like body positioning, tone of voice, and timing can make a big difference in how their pet responds.

🪥 Introducing Tools the Right Way

Another key part of the workshop was learning how to introduce dental tools in a way that builds trust instead of resistance.

Whether it’s a toothbrush, finger brush, or dental wipe, we walked through simple, step-by-step ways to help your pet become familiar with these tools… without stress or overwhelm.

We also shared our recommendations for the best tools to use at home, so you can feel confident choosing what works best for your pet.

🍖 Positive Reinforcement Makes All the Difference

One of our favourite moments during the workshops? Watching pets light up when rewards were introduced!

We talked about how important it is to create positive associations with dental care. Treats, praise, and patience go a long way in helping your pet understand that brushing time isn’t something to fear — it’s something to feel good about.

When done right, these small positive moments build trust and make each future brushing session easier.

🔁 Consistency Is the Secret

If there’s one takeaway we hope every pet parent left with, it’s this: consistency matters more than perfection.

You don’t have to get everything right from day one. What matters most is building a routine that you can stick with — one that fits naturally into your life and your pet’s comfort level.

Even short, regular sessions can have a meaningful impact on your pet’s oral health over time.

💛 Thank You for Joining Us

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for these workshops and trusted us with your pet’s oral care journey.

Seeing pet parents leave feeling more confident — and their pets leaving happy and relaxed — reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

If you weren’t able to attend this time, don’t worry — we’re already looking forward to hosting more sessions in the future!

In the meantime, remember: with a little guidance, a bit of patience, and the right approach, home pet dental care can become a positive, rewarding part of your best friend’s routine.

And we’re always here to help you every step of the way! 🐾
